Install
- Pick Sogou Input Method for Windows in our download centre and save the installer;
- Run it and choose Custom Install to change the folder and decide whether to make it default;
- Wait for the setup to finish and click Try Now.
Make it default
On Windows 10/11: Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region → preferred language → Chinese (Simplified) → Keyboards, and move Sogou to the top. Win+Space switches temporarily.
Common issues
- Installer blocked: whitelist it after confirming the official source;
- No Chinese output: press Ctrl+Shift or Win+Space to switch to Sogou;
- Status bar missing: right-click the taskbar input icon → Settings and re-enable it.
