Candidate bar missing, garbled or misplaced

Symptoms and fixes

• Does not follow the cursor: enable follow-cursor under Settings → Appearance;
• Garbled text: change the skin, reset appearance or check missing system fonts;
• Invisible in games: run the game as administrator, disable game mode or use compatibility mode;
• Too small: adjust font size and candidate count in appearance settings.

Advanced

Enable DPI scaling on high-resolution screens; for stubborn legacy apps, turn off advanced rendering or use compatibility mode under Settings → Advanced.
