Setup

  • Use a close microphone or headset to cut noise;
  • Grant microphone permission in the system and the input method;
  • Speak at a normal pace instead of word by word.

Dictation tips

  1. Say comma, period or new line to insert punctuation;
  2. Mixed languages are detected automatically; say technical terms slowly;
  3. Pause briefly at the end of each sentence.

Proofreading

Recognition is never perfect — read through numbers, names and technical terms afterwards.
